10th Edition

8th Edition

7th Edition

One solid reason to get into Seventh Edition. With the Magic: The Gathering - Seventh Edition set, old favorites like Serra Angel, Shivan Dragon, and Mahamoti Djinn return - with a vengeance. We wanted this set to kick arse, so that's why we've plastered the set with lavish, all-new art and included black-bordered premium cards. OK. The Seventh Edition base set includes randomly inserted black-bordered foil-finished premium cards in a 350 white-bordered card set featuring 110 rares, 110 uncommons, 110 commons and 20 basic lands.

6th Edition

Magic: The Gathering players had something to look forward to with Classic (Sixth Edition). For the starter-level Magic player that was ready to make the leap to advanced Magic play, the Classic two-player game was the logical next step. Newer Magic players enjoyed access to cards from earlier expansions and exposure to a richer play environment, while expert players found Classic a cost-effective way to play in sealed-deck tournaments. Classic featured 350 cards, including cards from these Magic expansions: Visions, Mirage, Alliances, and Weatherlight.

5th Edition

Released in March of 1997, Fifth Edition was by far the largest version of the Magic: The Gathering; basic set. Fifth Edition contains a total of 429 cards, not including the basic lands.

4th Edition

Released in April 1995, Fourth Edition was a new version of the Magic: The Gathering; basic set. In a continuing attempt to balance and add new flavor to the game, fifty-one cards were removed from the Revised Edition and 122 cards from previous expansions were added, bringing the total cards to 378.
